SWX2310P-28GT L2 Switch

One-click Optimization

IGMP and QoS settings can be automatically optimized for Dante network operation by simply selecting the Dante profile in the web-based GUI. These network settings are not critical in simple systems, but proper configuration is essential to ensure maximum stability in larger Dante networks.

In the Web GUI's ProAV Settings enables to assign settings for major ProAV profiles like Dante, NDI, and so on to ports with just a click. This makes it easy to use both NDI and Dante on the same switch.

Additionally, the ProAV Settings screen in the Web GUI allows you to easily check multicast settings and operations. It clearly shows multicast activity, which helps quickly resolve issues that often cause problems in ProAV networks.

Intelligent L2 switch with Dante optimization function and PoE+

The SWX2310P-28GT is an intelligent L2 switch optimized for Dante networks, known worldwide for AoIP, allowing integrators to quickly establish stable networks by simplifying settings, monitoring, management, and operation. When Dante PoE devices, like the VXC2P, are connected to the SWX2310P-28GT, settings optimized for Dante are automatically applied via LLDP, a protocol for exchanging system management data between neighboring devices. PoE+ compliant ports can supply up to 30W to each port simultaneously, powering not only PoE compliant devices like wireless access points, but also higher-output PoE+ devices such as the VXC2P and RM-CR.

Complete Network Monitoring

Comprehensive Monitoring

Yamaha LAN Monitor is a dedicated software that allows for quick troubleshooting. Easily check PoE status, turn PoE on/off, and use the snapshot function to detect any differences or faults in the network state since setup. The web GUI provides a full range of monitoring functionality, including dead/alive monitoring for PoE devices, allowing you to restart a PoE device if a fault occurs and receive email notifications of faults.

Snapshot Function Makes Troubleshooting Easy

Take a “snapshot” when the network is initially set up to automatically keep track of any alerts or setting changes that could cause trouble like cable disconnections, devices turning off, or incorrect connections made prior to performances.

Enhanced Device ID with Icons, Labels and Comments

Identifying devices connected to a switch with only IP or MAC addresses is a difficult and error-prone approach. Dante devices can use icons and device IDs when set up via the Dante Controller software. Label and Comment fields also let users add useful info, like the location of the device.

Intelligent Security Management

The SWX2310P-28GT includes built-in RADIUS server functionality to augment VLAN capabilities. By setting up one switch as a RADIUS server and linking other switches to it, unauthorized network access can be effectively blocked, ensuring enhanced security even in complex large-scale installations. Device authentication can be quickly and easily configured via a web-based GUI.

What is ADECIA

A one-stop sound solution for remote conferencing that improves the quality of voice communications.

What is DANTE

Dante replaces heavy, expensive analog or multicore cabling with LAN cables such as CAT5e and CAT6.

Because Dante uses logical routing instead of physical point-to-point connections, the network can be configured using available ports with just a few clicks.

Systems with Dante can also be easily expanded.

Additionally, Dante supports redundancy configuration, ensuring reliability even in emergency situations.

What is NDI Certified

NDI Certified

These new Yamaha SWR and SWX series switches are one of the first hardware products globally to become NDI Certified in the network switch category.

This certification guarantees full compatibility with products from the NDI Certified ecosystem, even without requiring native NDI integration. Yamaha switches provide an effortless experience and high-quality connection within any NDI network and workflow.

NDI (Network Device Interface) is a groundbreaking video connectivity standard that enables seamless transmission of high-quality video, audio, and metadata over standard IP networks. By leveraging NDI technology, devices such as cameras, switchers, and media servers on the same network can automatically discover and connect with one another, eliminating the need for complex configurations or dedicated cabling.

This connectivity standard empowers producers to access and utilize a virtually unlimited number of video sources within their network, significantly enhancing the flexibility and scalability of live production workflows. Whether for live events, broadcasts, or post-production, NDI transforms traditional video production by seamlessly integrating all sources on the network.
