Disposal and recycling of batteries

Take note of the following to prevent the disposal of batteries and to recycle them appropriately.

- Use the battery in a way that will extend its life.

- Avoid a fully charged state.

- Charge the battery before it runs out of power.

- Avoid storing or operating in high-temperature environments.

- Charge the battery to between 60% and 80% before storing it.

- Cooperate with the appropriate sorting and collection.

By disposing of batteries properly, we can conserve valuable resources and prevent potential negative impacts on human health and the environment that may result from improper waste disposal. Cooperate with the following recommendations for the separate collection of batteries.

Dispose of batteries separately from other waste, including mixed general waste.

Dispose of batteries at collection points set up by the manufacturer or the organisation to which the manufacturer belongs, or at collection points set up by the government in accordance with an agreement with the organisation to which the manufacturer belongs.

Contact your local government, waste disposal service or the store where you purchased the relevant product for information on the separate collection, collection and storage locations, recycling methods and proper disposal of waste batteries.

Safety instructions for handling waste batteries (including the risks associated with lithium batteries and how to handle them)

- Do not disassemble or modify waste batteries. Store waste batteries out of the reach of children. If you swallow a waste battery, seek medical attention immediately.

- Do not expose waste batteries to heat or fire. Do not store them in direct sunlight. Do not short-circuit the waste batteries. Do not store waste batteries in a box or drawer in a way that would cause them to short-circuit.

- Do not subject waste batteries to impact.

- If waste batteries leak, do not touch the liquid or get it in your eyes. If you come into contact with the liquid or it gets into your eyes, rinse the affected area with plenty of water and seek medical attention.

- Do not reuse the waste batteries from this product in other products without first checking the electrical specifications of the batteries in this product and the electrical specifications of the other product. Do not reuse the waste batteries from other products in this product without first checking the electrical specifications of the batteries in this product and the electrical specifications of the other product.

- Store waste batteries in a place with low humidity.

If lithium-ion batteries are exposed to high temperatures for a long time, they may catch fire or smoke. If lithium-ion batteries are disposed of incorrectly, they may cause fires or other accidents.

Insulate the positive and negative terminals of waste batteries with cellophane tape or vinyl tape.

Batteries may contain harmful substances such as mercury, lead, cadmium and nickel. If these harmful substances are disposed of with the batteries still in the product, or if they are disposed of without being separated, they can have a negative impact on the soil, seawater and air, and there is also a possibility that they could have a negative impact on the human body.
