Javier Perianes and that perfect ‘Yamaha Sound’

As well as being one of Spain's most exciting and highly acclaimed young artists, Javier Perianes has also grown a significant international reputation and fan-base.

Hugely popular with Spanish audiences, Javier has also performed around the world at many prestigious concert halls, including New York's Carnegie Hall, London's Royal Festival Hall and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo. He is also a highly successful and prolific recording artist for the Harmonia Mundi label.

Javier is an advocate of Yamaha Pianos, and the CFX in particular. In this In Conversation With film, he describes how his love of the ‘Yamaha Sound’ began after hearing recitals by Maria João Pires and Sviatoslav Richter.

He discusses all the key aspects of Yamaha pianos, including sound quality, versatility and ‘Sound Travel’, citing pivotal moments in his career where his Yamaha piano became his ally in concert.

Compelling viewing for anyone passionate about the piano and serious about music.
