Yamaha Pianos in conversation with Chick Corea

Yamaha Global Artist Chick Corea is, without doubt, one of the world's most innovative and influential jazz artists and keyboard players. His seminal records with Return to Forever, the Electric Band and now the acclaimed electro-acoustic Vigil have broken down barriers and redefined genres in equal measure.

He has been awarded no less than twenty Grammy Awards since he burst onto the scene in 1966, and his 1968 record Now He Sings, Now He Sobs is regarded as one of the finest jazz releases of all time. Here, Chick gives two exclusive, insightful and intimate interviews to UK jazz legend Julian Joseph. Compelling footage for piano fans and jazz lovers alike.

Part One - Chick discusses improvisation and composing, his music education, and breaking into the New York music scene. He talks about the birth of the seminal Return to Forever, and discusses his inspirations and milestone career moments.

Part Two - Chick explains how his love of jazz was sparked by his desire to be part of ‘the happy bunch’, a term he uses to describe his father’s band. He outlines his enduring association with Yamaha pianos and his love of Yamaha's CFX.
