Slayer, Paul Bostaph and the Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple Drum Kit.

„It feels like coming home for me “ Paul Bostaph said last year, when his return to Slayer as an official member  had been announced. In the years 1992 to 2001 Paul already was drummer of the Thrash Metal Goddess. Besides Slyer Bostaph played drums for Forbidden, Exodus and Testament.

Paul Bostaph is pretty much known for his tight, energetic and dynamic style. Slayer singer Tom Araya said: „Paul is a great drummer and a good friend. We´re very happy, that he decided to rejoin the band. We are still so sad about the loss of our guitar player Jeff Hannemann. But we really don´t want to disappoint our fans, so we have to start looking forward. Having Paul in the band, makes things a lot easier!”

Slayer and Bostaph are a symbiosis which works and bangs. That´s what he is going to prove live this year on his Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple drums. All witnesses of this spectacle will be blown away by this synergistic effect of man and drums. Big sound for the big stages. The Absolute Maple Drumkit delivers a great, warm and open sound which was created by the combination of a core ply of Wenge, a very hard and heavy wood, sandwiched between piles of maple.

As Slayer, who can rely on an experienced, authentic and intransigent friend, the Absolute Drumset comes up with approved substances in a combination. Innovative YESSIII tom mounts and a defined sound by putting together two types of woods. This formerly was reserved to Yamaha flagship PHX.

If you want to see Paul Bostaph working hard, there are some opportunities this summer. Slayer will be headlining Wacken Open Air amongst others. Make sure to watch melting elements becoming Slayer, driven by Mr. Bostaph on a Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple in Polar White. Cheers.
