Yamaha’s new SILENT Brass™ given prestigious Good Design Award in Japan

The brand new SILENT Brass™ from Yamaha has been given the highly regarded Good Design Gold Award 2013.  First established in 1957, the awards are recognised throughout the world as one of the most significant design awards.

Launched in November, the new SILENT Brass™ now includes the revolutionary Brass Resonance Modeling™ which has resulted in a huge improvement in the sound quality.

The shape of the mute has been completely re-thought and is designed to be more ergonomic and more practical for travelling musicians, making it easier than ever to practice when and where you like.

With approximately 3000 submissions each year, the Gold Award is given to only the most outstanding designs from that year. This year was no exception, and the new SILENT Brass™ was chosen ahead of some very strong competition.

Available for Trumpet, Trombone, Flugel Horn and French Horn, the new SILENT Brass™ has already received some outstanding feedback from musicians and is the must have practice tool for brass players.
