About
One of the outstanding artists of her generation, pianist Lilit Grigoryan is characterized by "her abundant power and a clear, assertive musical language" (Maria João Pires). Yamaha has been privileged to work with her on several projects, including recordings and concerts such as the Debut of „Ensemble Dimensions" in Philharmonie Berlin - an extraordinary event with 3 pianos and 2 large percussion sets.
Lilit has toured worldwide, performing in prestigious venues. As a soloist, she performs with many well-known orchestras, and as a chamber musician, collaborating with various artists, including Maria João Pires.
Many of her CDs have been recorded with CFX such as:
- In November 2018 released album „Variations sérieuses" (Orchid Classics), that includes works of Bach-Busoni, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bizet and Szymanowski. The recording has been received very enthusiastically by international reviewers.
- The cycle „Música callada“ by Frederic Mompou was released in October 2021 (Orchid Classics) and has received a great deal of media attention and was chosen as one of Apple Music’s Best Albums of 2021.
Lilit graduated from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock (Prof. Matthias Kirschnereit’s class) with highest honors. From 2012 to 2016 she was also Artist in Residence at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Belgium under the direction of Maria João Pires. Lilit is a prizewinner of several international competitions and has also been supported by a scholarship from the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe in 2008. She is a Yamaha Artist since April 2023. Lilit Grigoryan is a lecturer and artistic collaborator at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock and the Young Academy Rostock.
