Color inspired by the original BB1200S

“I’ve actually got seven,” Hook says of his BB1200S collection. “The first one I had was sunburst. I’ve got the bright green one. I’ve got the black one. And when I saw the maroon one, it was my ideal version. The maroon one is the one that fulfills my dream, if you like, or my aesthetic of what a guitar should be.”

Single Pickup and Active / Passive Electronics

Like the BB1200S, the BB Peter Hook features a single reversed split pickup.

Controls include an Active/Passive switch, Volume knob, and 3-band EQ. The Treble knob doubles as a master tone control in passive mode.

Alder / Maple / Alder Body

The hard maple center increases body stiffness and accentuates the midrange needed to cut through a dense band mix. The hard maple also enables a more uniform Transmission of vibrations between the body and the maple neck for unparalleled resonance and sustain.

6-Bolt Miter Neck Joint

While BB1200S used a neck-through design, the BBPH uses miter bolting, which draws the neck tightly against the body.

This offers the convenience of a bolt-on design, but with a more efficient transfer of vibration between the neck and body for improved sustain and resonance.

Autographed Headstock

Peter Hook’s signature is screened on the back of the headstock, along with a salute to Manchester, England—his hometown, and the birthplace of an incredible sound that changed rock music forever.
