ANDREA PALAZZO - Born in Naples on 06/11/1973, he began playing the guitar at the age of 8. After several years of private lessons he graduated at GIT (Guitar Institute of Technology - Musicians Institute) in Los Angeles in 1998. He also obtained a degree in Jazz Guitar at the Conservatory of S. Pietro a Majella (Naples).
Became a Yamaha endorser by performing for the first time on the Yamaha stand at the DISMA MUSIC SHOW in Rimini (in 2000); demonstrating the Pacifica 812W and DG-80 amps. Over the years he has made numerous demonstrations for the company, also becoming a Line6 endorser when Yamaha acquired this company. He also endorses GalliStrings since 1997.
Author, for Playgame Music, of the following DVDs: "Playing in the style of Joe Satriani" and "The Musical Ear - Practical course for the training and development of the guitarist's musical ear" and of the Didactic Manual + CD : “The Styles of the Greatest Guitarists – The Style of Joe Satriani. He currently teaches modern guitar at the Kaos music school in Anacapri. He recorded and produced the following instrumental CDs as a solo artist and with his side-projects: “Ovunque…Wherever!”- A.Palazzo (ed. Azzurramusic – 2004 ); “Break the Glass!”- Mariano Barba E4 (March 2004-AenimaRecordings 2020); “7” - ERT 15 (2016 - Soundfly ed.): "PICKMAN 2020" (AenimaRecordings 2020). As a session man he recorded on over 60 CDs. In all the CDs and solo projects, he always used Yamaha guitars, then Line6 Variax guitars and as effects, the Line 6 Helix pedalboard. He was the guitarist of the orchestra of "PASSAPAROLA" (Canale 5 - Mediaset), "CANTA E VINCI!" (music quiz conducted by Amadeus and Checco Zalone, ITALIA 1 - Mediaset), “IO CANTO! “ (Canale 5 – in 2010); participated in "Ti lascio una canzone" (Rai Uno - episode of 10 April 2010 - playback with Miguel Bosè. As a SOLOIST he played in various guitar events such as: "Eddie Lang Jazz Festival"; "SOAVE guitar festival"; "CBE - Genova"; Afrakà Rock Festival” (www.afraka.it), at the "MAF 2008" ("Music in Fiorano-MO); PADOVA Guitar Show2023.
He also made live, studio and TV sessions with Gigi Finizio, Daniele Sepe, Tosca, Christian Meyer, Osanna, Fred Bongusto, Tiziana Rivale, Jenny B, Checco Zalone, Nino D'Angelo, Luca Sepe, Luigi Libra, Veronica SImioli (Sud 58 - Made in Sud), Aurelio Fierro Jr and Fabrizio Fierro, Francesco Paolantoni, Erminio Sinni, Baccano, Francesco Baccini, Maria Nazionale, Garo Tavitjan, Terence Howard, Eric Lewis, Rita Forte, Franco Fasano, Peppino di Capri, Giorgio Panariello, Marco Masini, Zorama, Capatosta, S&LIPS, Will Hunt, Adriano Molinari, Steve Edwards; then Jovanotti and Paolo Belli (during Passaparola). In the episodes of “Io Canto!” , he played, in the orchestra, with the following artists: Raf, Alex Britti, Bianca Ryan, Charice Pempengco, Alexia, Zero Assoluto, Alessandra Amoroso, Mario Biondi, Ron, Fausto Leali, Johnny Dorelli, Katia Ricciarelli, Iva Zanicchi, Michele Zarrillo Claudio Baglioni. He also played with Frank McComb (formerly lead singer of Buckshot Lefonque, one of the several Branford Marsalis projects). He also recorded in some Metal projects as : the Experiment No.Q project, with some elements of the Swedish metal band Therion; the album “Freedom”, the latest CD of the band Marshall (historical hard-rock/metal band from Naples). He played, solo and/or with the ERT15 trio, opening the following Lives of important guitarists: Alex Masi, The Aristocrats, Daniele Gottardo, Dolcetti (Gianni Rojatti), Michael Lee Firkins, Carl Verheyen, Peppino D'Agostino, Greg Howe, Filippo Bertipaglia, Corrado Rustici, Tony MacAlpine, Stef Burns, Kiko Loureiro, Neil Zaza, Paul Gilbert, Trevor Gordon Hall , 1403 (Tom Cameron), Reb Beach (current guitarist of Whitesnake) & The Bad Boys. Current and most recent collaborations: Jimmy Sax (two tours: 2022 and 2023 with the Symphonic Dance Orchestra (conducted by Maestro Vincenzo Sorrentino), ”Drive in Circus" by Luca Sepe , “Scandal” Queen Tribute, ”Terra Viva" by Luigi Libra, Premio Carosone 2023 during which, with the band Afro Blue, they were the backing band for: Eugenio Finardi, Mario Venuti, Raiz, Ciccio Merolla, Franco Ricciardi, Roberto Colella, Dario Sansone.
