Jamie Williams’ Group wins at International Trombone Association Competition
Trombone Ensemble directed by Yamaha Artist Jamie Williams wins Prestigious Award
Yamaha trombone artist, Jamie Williams conducted the group, Rostock Trombone Class, to victory at the recent 2014 Emory Remington Trombone Choir Competition beating off tough competition from around the world.
Principal trombonist with the Deutsche Oper Berlin since 2010, Jamie also teaches at Hochschule fur Musik und Theater, Rostock, Germany, and has been a Yamaha Trombone Artist since 2011 choosing to play the Xeno YSL-882O.
As a result of this success, Jamie and his group will now perform at the prestigious International Trombone Festival which takes place in Rochester, New York, US, between the 4th and 7th June 2014.
In addition to this success, in November 2013, Jamie Williams released his latest CD, ‘Voice’ which, sees him re-visit repertoire that he has performed and studied many times over the years.
