Yamaha Neo and the British Bandsman - Live from Perth!

Yamaha Neo and the British Bandsman have once again teamed up to bring this year's European Brass Band Championships (EBBC) Live to your computer screen. The live streaming of the contest will be presented by Yamaha artist and International Percussion Star Simone Rebello.

The EBBC 2014 will be taking place in the fabulous surroundings of Perth Concert Hall. It is the climax of the 2014 European Festival of Brass which includes the 2014 Solo Competition and a variety of concerts and educational activities, including performances by the European Youth Brass Band, all of which take place in this wonderful performance space.

The Championships themselves take place over two days. Yamaha Neo and the British Bandsman will be Live Streaming all performances from the Championship Section bands which commences at 5pm on Friday 2nd May with a newly commissioned test piece, to be performed by all bands. On Saturday 2nd May, commencing at 1pm, the bands will then perform their own choice work, which can often include newly commissioned works specially for this competition. We will also be live streaming the grand gala concert as well as the results ceremony.

Simone Rebello will once again be presenting the live streaming from a seperate studio in the foyer where she will also be interviewing special guests and well known personalities from the brass banding world. As well as her impressive career as a percussion soloist, Simone has been involved in brass banding herself for many years. As a former percussionist with Fodens Band, she is also a very experienced contest adjudicator as well as a presenter, introducing the 2013 National Brass Band Championships from the Royal Albert Hall and also presenting the Live Streaming of both the EBBC and Brass In Concert Championships back in 2010.

Details on how to access the live feed can be found on the British Bandsman website via the link below. If you can't make it to Perth then there's still no reason to miss out on all the action from the biggest brass band event of the year!
