Yamaha Artist Andrea Tofanelli Appointed to the Prestigious Board of Directors of the International Trumpet Guild


As of October 2013, world renowned trumpet player and Yamaha artist, Andrea Tofanelli, joined the board of directors of the prestigious International Trumpet Guild.

Andrea Tofanelli is known throughout the world for his unique sound and has performed with some of the biggest names in music. A soloist and lead trumpet player, Andrea’s position on the Board of Directors is the first time in the organisation’s history that an Italian has been appointed and recognises the huge contribution that Andrea has made to trumpet music.

The International Trumpet Guild is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 1975 to promote communication among trumpet players. With over 5,000 members representing 56 nations its members consist of trumpet players of all levels, from amateurs to professionals.

Commenting on his appointment Andrea says:

"For me, it's a huge honour to have been appointed to the Board of Directors of the International Trumpet Guild for the 2014 and 2015. This call was a real surprise, and I consider it one of the greatest highlights of my career.

The ITG is the biggest and most important organisation in the world concerning the trumpet representing 56 countries and connected to Universities of around the globe.

The ITG Conferences always show the best of the best, la crème de la crème of trumpet artists, performances and teaching.

I hope to give a positive and constructive contribution to the organisation of the next ITG Conferences, and I am so grateful to the ITG Directors and Staff for putting their trust in me and in what I can give to the ITG".
