Rock Legend Tommy Aldridge on tour with his new Yamaha `Live Custom´ kit

Tommy Aldridge – one of rock music´s most unique & influential drummers – is back with the mighty Whitesnake and currently touring Europe, US and Japan. His kit of choice is the new Yamaha Live Custom Series – our new drum series made of 100% oak shells.

UK`s rock titans Whitesnake are together again and giving thousands of fans around the world what they have demanded over the last years: an energy packed rock show, spiced with many legendary rock anthems and top-class musicianship.

Tommy Aldridge – who has sat in with Whitesnake during the bands rise to stardom in the late 80´s – is now back in the line-up, after taking some time off to tour and record with other major rock artists, among them Ozzy Osbourne and Thin Lizzy.

With his hard-hitting style, flair and showmanship, Tommy continues to be a major influence in hard rock and heavy metal. Tommy's signature style is a rare combination of power, technique and feel.

It comes as no surprise that Tommy´s kit of choice is the new Yamaha Live Custom series made of 100% oak shells. These deliver a sound with greater strength and depth, provide rich expressive power and feature hardware designed with new, innovative features giving incredible stability and reliability, even in the demanding environment of taking Tommy`s hard hitting, brutal punishment night after night.

The sound of oak is clear and well defined with a powerful low end, perfect when searching for that powerful, expressive -yet warm- sound.

Tommy, who has played Yamaha PHX and Maple Custom Absolute kits in the past, quotes on the new Yamaha oak shells:

They have the attack and now they found some way to make them warm sounding aswell!
