New digital sound projectors and soundbars - superb surround sound from a single compact array of speakers combined with a wireless subwoofer
Breathtaking surround sound from a single slim array of speakers. Creating the first soundbar, Yamaha started a real trend that the company continues to develop with new and innovative products. For a cinema-like multi-channel sound from a single slim soundbar the YSP-3300 and the YSP-3400 are the perfect choice.
The virtual loudspeakers are realised via 16 beam drivers for the YSP-3300 and 22 for the YSP-4300. The powerful bass range is produced by the second component, an active subwoofer with 100 watts of RMS power. Thanks to its wireless communication it can be set up flexibly anywhere in the room. The IntelliBeam II system automatically sets the best beam angles, while optimizing the level and frequency response of each beam. iPhone or iPod can be connected wirelessly by using the AIR-Wired-Technology. An USB-port lets you even hook up your iPad to the YSP-4300. Both digital sound projectors are equipped with 3 3D-capable HDMI inputs as well as an audio return channel function offering a comprehensive range of video connectivity.
The compact soundbar speaker system YAS-201 is featuring Yamaha’s latest AIR SURROUND XTREME technologies. Despite having only dual front speakers it creates an impressive multi-channel experience. Through wireless communication the active subwoofer can be set up flexibly anywhere in the room. All recorders are hooked up to the YAS-201 through digital inputs.

Delivering powerful, expansive bass and crisp, precisely contoured treble, it ensures complete enjoyment of everything from the fast kick of a bass drum to gentle sounds and vocals that seem to be right in front of you. You can dock your iPod or iPhone directly into the top of the unit or connect it via Bluetooth. In addition to a CD player and FM radio, the Restio B820 also features Yamaha’s IntelliAlarm and has USB and Aux-in terminals. The stylish digital clock gives you a choice of two patterns: the usual number display and a unique display that combines numbers and an indicator. An auto dimmer function adjusts the brightness of the display to match the brightness of the room. Its independent body style makes the Restio B820 an interior design element.

Audiophile CD player with an integrated network-streaming client
For the first time ever the CD-N500 unites an audiophile CD player with a network-streaming client. This way Yamaha combines the best of two worlds of audiophile digital music playback. The new HiFi-component features elegant design and high quality hand-selected parts that guarantee natural sound reproduction. Sophisticated listeners can now choose between the sound experience of a compact disc and music content from a media server at any time. Supporting the high-definition audio-format FLAC, the CD-N500 guarantees a high-end sound quality, also supporting classical formats like PCM-Wave or MP3. The network controller-app turns Apple iOS-devices like the iPhone or the iPad as well as other mobile devices with Google Android into a Wi-Fi remote control that conveniently controls the CD-N500.
The above-mentioned novelties will be part of a presentation by Yamaha at the IFA 2012, Berlin’s international trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances. Further new products will be exclusively revealed at the IFA. Prices and availability will be announced at a later date.
