The German Phono Academy and the Cultural Institute of the Association of Music Industry Associations, has announced the winners of the ECHO Klassik 2012 awards.
The German Music Award “ECHO” is one of the most well established and well known music awards throughout the world.
This year, a total of 70 labels sent some 340 works of their artists to be considered for an ECHO Klassik. After the four-week application period, the ECHO Klassik jury, made up of various industry experts evaluated 60 winners in 21 categories.
Yamaha Trumpet Artist Giuliano Sommerhalder has been selected as the winner of the ECHO Klassik Award for Best Concerto Recording 19th Century / Winds for the album A. Ponchielli: Concerts for Trumpet.
The Award ceremony takes places on 14th of October 2012 in Konzerthaus Berlin and is will be broadcasted the same day on German TV.
