“Voilá, Yamaha it is! I have a really, really long history with Yamaha: I learned to play bass on a Yamaha, I rode my first wheels on a Yamaha, I did our first record on a Yamaha bass, I played my first show on a Yamaha … I´ve always liked everything they have done, it’s a company that puts out top quality in everything they do. It´s a company you can´t go wrong with” (Adam Duce, 2012)
Yamaha is proud to announce that Adam Duce has officially joined the Yamaha Bass artist roster. Adam is founding member of thrash metal pioneers "Machine Head".
Since the release of the metal milestone “The Blackening” in 2008, Machine Head have made their permanent mark as one of metals most important and influential bands to date. Hyped by fans and media, “The Blackening” lead the band to an extensive 3 year tour, sharing the stage with bands such as Slipknot or Metallica followed by an own headline tour across the globe.
In September 2011, Machine Head have released the highly awaited follow up record “Unto the Locust” which pursues the bands musical direction, combining heavy guitar riffs with Adam´s full-on bass play.
Adam has used his Yamaha BB2024 for recordings of “Unto the Locust” and has taken this model out on the road for the bands shows in Europe, America and Australia.
“It´s all about the way it sounds” quotes Adam Duce on why he decided to play the Yamaha BB2024 model.
We are happy to have Adam in the Yamaha Artist family.
